Dean Barlow established the B and B Dance Center in 1975. The studio is located at 123639 Burbank Boulevard in Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles in Southern Califordnia.

1990 Emmy Award
Dean Barlow won a Best Choreography Emmy Award long with Paula Abdul for their choreography at an American Music Awards Show.

He received the 2004 Stanley Holden "Teacher of the Year" award in 2004.
